When Miss 'Rona Came To Town & Other Hilarity
Dear whatever doesn't kill me, I'm strong enough now so back off!
Whelp, to paraphrase writer Alan Saunders—not John Lennon:
“Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans.”
After years of dodging the bullet, following all public health protocols and getting all but the latest booster, COVID-19 finally got my family.
We were even still masking most of the time…
But it only takes one time.
So in lieu of writing anything substantive—my apologies—I'm sending this first meme round-up for your amusement. Or horror—my humor tends towards dark and sarcastic.
If possible, I try to find original sources for memes but if you have an attribution, drop it in the comments.
WARNING: Utter Nonsense Beyond This Point
As a Roman Catholic for my childhood until my early 30s, I took Bible study classes with a Jesuit priest.
So I can confirm this assessment of Biblical women is accurate and aspirational at times.
But for the best explanation of a Biblical marriage, consult America's Best Christian Mrs. Betty Bowers—aka Deven Green/Andrew Bradley.
My family and friends assure me this assessment—of me—is also accurate—but only emerges when necessary.
Although some days I feel like…
A friend suggested this as my “warning label.”
Yes, there have been grown person tears more than once.
Oops!
Sorry, Jesus.
To be fair, I get it from my Ka'nisténhsera (Mother in my maternal language).
Although as a card carrying Indigenous Auntie, this should probably be a warning label for us all.
But one thing you should know…
I'll leave you all with this bit of Indigenous wisdom.
Crack the windows before you cleanse, fam!
And if you liked any of the memes, feel free to discover them.
Until next time, aŋpétu wašté yuhá pe (have a good day)! ~ Amelia
Just curious. Is Mrs. Betty Bowers related to Randy Rainbow? They certainly resemble each other.
I love your mask! It's perfect for my crazy cat side!
